The bag fits well over the shoulder and under the arm so it is secure (I dislike bags hanging too low-they get caught on things or subject to pickpockets). The fabric has held up well on my 5 trips so far. Looks nice enough for my main bag now. LOVE this bag!!!!!! April 9, 2011: Ah, sadness. The one weak area of this bag is in the straps, where they attach to the bag. After my 10th trip, through airports and taxis and TSA’s etc, one of the straps broke. AARRGGGGGHHHH. In fairness, I overloaded the sucker. After tugging it out from under the seat in front of me for the umpteenth time, I noticed a fatal tension tear right where the strap is sewn into the bag’s seam attaching it to the purse. 15 of 15 people found the following review helpful. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. This has a lot of features that make it great for everyday use. The side pockets are the perfect size for a small book or folded magazine/newspaper. I use one to carry a water bottle (the Camelbak BPA-Fee Better Bottle, 16 or 24 ounce, fits absolutely perfectly) so I don’t have to worry about moisture getting on things inside the bag. The open interior pockets include pen slots and two that are a good size for a cell phone or PDA. Interior zippered pocket is great for personal items. I am less enthusiastic about the mesh pockets, which I believe were designed for a water bottle. I use one for a folding umbrella and the other just gets in the way. The key fob is nice and long, so you can unlock a door without detaching your keys. The top zips completely closed (great for going through airport security). And I LOVE that the bag has metal feet, as too often I need to set it down somewhere damp or dirty. I got the pewter color, which is a nice break from black but still goes with everything. It’s really a pencil-lead shade — warm deep gray — with a yellow lining. The lining makes it easy to find things in the bag. Straps are long enough to slip over jacket sleeves but no so long that the bag drags on the ground when carried by hand (I am 5′ 7″). Overall I am very pleased. The quality is great for the price (Amazon had the best price around), and I would buy other Baggalini bags in the future. |
